HOT BIKERS

The streets are hot.... The bikers even hotter

I always believed and said " I rather be 5 strong than 20 weak". Some clubs believe the more the stronger but in all reality in my opinion, if you have 5 strong then you have the loyalty, respect and family you need. You have some renegades that run within the club as well as outside of the club and 1 reason is that some clubs look for quantity instead of quality.

First I would approach their President regarding the issue and if that doesn't work then I would take it directly to the National President.

I feel that if a member was stripped of their colors and try to join another club, their past President should be approached and let known that they are trying to join. Get information on why was the member stripped before you take them in as a prospect.

This is no disrespect to anyone its just my personal opinion on this issue

You are so right about all dat! I have always tried to take people at face value...not judge by what others say. But I made the mistake of not listening when I should have, and have come to realize the full extent of my ignorance.
Our beliefs are the same as you’re to a point, we believe in the quality not quantity. Bushido Ryders was a club formed in 1973 and recognized in 1976. Even with that we are not a club of many chapters we just last year did recognize and get approval for our first out of state chapter. We can count on 1 hand the number of members we have that have in anyway affiliated, or been a member of another club, and that goes for including all chapters. It for that reason itself that we have a strong belief in the quality of a person to be a member. You would not just allow anyone into your house and invite a stranger to dinner. Then why would you allow just anyone into your club? We (Bushido Ryders) are of the old school history but are now coming out into the new school world and still maintaining our old school heritage. That of what made the old school set and clubs strong and have that lasting power is what is being lost on the newer clubs coming out now. I mean no disrespect to anyone or any club to each as his own and the ways of the world shall provide. Here in the Bay area Cali. we have a long history so respect of just that is and shoulb be first and formost.
Okay, I agree with most of the comments. Here is my opinion. Whether you leave a club in good or bad standing, you should be scrutinized before being able to join the next club. One question I would pose to the potential member is “Why did you leave?” And if the shoe fits, another would be “Why have you been a member of several different clubs and you still aren’t satisfied”. There is no reason why one person is jumping from club to club and STILL can’t find happiness. Like Shawtie said, the Presidents should talk about the reason why the member left the club. If drama was involved then chances are that person will bring the drama to your club too. We have enough stress in our daily lives and I’m sure everyone will agree, that our leisure time should be stress free NOT stressful. There is no reason why folks should be able to leave one club in chaos and bring their baggage to the next club. Riding, fellowshipping and networking should be the fun aspects of being a part of this community.

Before I forget, all of you were right in saying that it doesn’t take a HUGE club to make a difference. It’s the quality of the people (the family) that makes the club HUGE! Okay, I’ve digressed…

Anyway, don’t get me wrong, sometimes you join a club thinking it’s something that its not and you leave. Happens to the best of us and that’s a person’s prerogative. And, the reality is you may not always be able to leave under amicable terms. It’s not the ideal way to leave any club but hey, we’re all human! But, if club number 4 isn’t any better than club number 3 and club number 2 then damn, it can’t be the clubs that have the problem. Maybe that person needs to do some introspecting. Presidents, just think twice before you let a member who has club hopped join your club. Everyone joins a group for a reason and some for the wrong reasons. Presidents (and Exec Board) just keep this in mind ....Someone else’s Trash is not always a Treasure.
We all know the bike community breeds drama. It would be nice to be able to contain that drama within each individual club in an effort to keep the disease from spreading. Wishful thinking!
I've been in the community for little over a year and a half and I find it interesting that as adults we tend to still have some of the same issues our youth have, and we are the teachers, mentors and sometime the parents. With all that said I find this amazingly scary that some of us are responsible for forming a respectable and diserable environment for the next generation. Buyer beware and double check your warrenty.
Of all the things I expected in the biker communtiy I sure was caught off guard with all the he say, she say drama.
The utter disrespect for our beautiful women from our men in the community who see there next opportunity to knock yet another notch off there belts. ( Respect our Queens )
We all in retropect need to come up with solutions to help create an environment which is free of all the unwanted drama, unwanted disrespectful sexuall advances and in some cases out right sexuall harassment of our female riders.
We are all adults in this community and we should demand better from ourselves and those in our clubs.
Remember a little constructive criticism will go a long way toward shaping this community. We need to get back to the old days. Get involved and stop sitting on the sidelines whispering and being negative. Stop being a part of the problem and become a solution.

In the same we look at each other look at our selves and then take note. Look for in other you want to allow to be a part of what you are a part of and teach them what you know. With that you will be able to pass to others what is in good moral conscience, and of a good moral value. So if you your self are not of that then you shall pass that on to those around you. This does not always play as so but 98% of the time it is held as truth... We need only look in the mirror and remember the lessons that were passed on to us. Have we done just that to and for the younger and newer around us???
It should also be said that perks given to presidents should be reconsidered especially, if mc's are a family. See leaders should lead not by gett'n into parties free while members pay the $20 per-head rather, Leaders "should" lead by their example! They are the teachers; example/trend setter for their club & members. Parties/anniversaries should be a celebration of life not another chance to get intoxicated; or to show who has what (if u know what I mean). Respect IS earned but not practiced in many mc's. To the Ladies who ride: Women have responsibility to themselves first ...what they wear and how they want to be portrayed & remembered. Riding is fun but safety FIRST ALWAZ! No stilettos, chiffon scarfs and other improper safety riding gear while riding just to look pretty. See you not only jeopardize yourself but also those who ride along with you; Why, just to look pretty? Raises a question as to why you ride in the first place. Ok, off my soap box...be safe out there..pray we have fewer "RIPS" in 2010. Love ya
How can we contain the renegade members of clubs. When for the most part this whole season it has been problems with entire clubs. What can we do about that. We have several organizations that are supposed to be trying to regulate this. But we tend to forget the position of the organization because no one stands up to say anything. As mentioned in one other comments we are parents, teachers, mentors...etc. We cant seem to act like adults. I dont see why it is so hard for us to just respect each other not only as adults but just plain old riders. I remember riding with my grandfather when I was little and it was all about fun and the enjoyment of riding.......
In the biker community, thats y u have Motorcycle clubs, And your 1% bikers. If your in a motorcycle club that socializes with the community and abides by the standard of the law, then haven some1 n ur club that carries himself like a renagade, must b dealt with! Some guys put on a set of Colors and grow an xtra ball. If you live your life outside of the box, and acts like a Renagade, start hangin around your local 1% spots(If they allow u) And c if this is ur Calling. I promise u that ur renagade ways will change. LoL!
All I can say to that is AMEN!!!
I believe in gettin rid of weak links. Ive done it alot when i was president of a social club and then a m/c. Their weak in performance, but wesk in productivity. i wont interfere with them joining another club, because if clubs do it the right way, they will have a long prospect period. in that period they should find out if that person fits their club. just because they didnt work with your club doesnt mean that they wont work with the next.
Icould not have said that any better today so many clubs want the numbers rather than having quality members thus start the club jumpers .Throttle twisters m/c in Milw. Wisc. will be celerbrating our "50th year " 2/14/09 the club has seen all this in that time. I have not been with them all that time but this is why we try to be very strict who we let in our club or even start a chapter somewhere else no matter how many bikes they own.
So many great comments.I remember my grandfather riding as a child an again as the other lady said... it was all about fun ! Every race didnt matter they just RODE! This will be my first (real) season riding only because I will getting my own bike! From what I have experienced so far I am truly scared to death to be a part of the bike club that I was riding with. They have no loyalty for one another and it seems as though they make up there own rules as they go along! What happened to Bylaws?Think thats what its called.. this is a club that has been around for many years ! Its a shame they have been taken over by inexperienced leaders who really have no lcue .Its true its not the quantity its the quality an they lack both !
xxx said it the best ....Some people put on clors an (take) over a position in a club an grow ballz over nite !
BOSS put it all in a nutshell....The past 2 yrs some of the things I have heard an seen have truly discouraged me from riding with this club even just as a friend an not a memeber !If I go down God knows I would want to have people around me that are positive an I know will come back an help a sister out . The negative energy they have amongst (all) of them is insane,. I thought maybe its me ........but when your on the road an you hear other clubs talking about them everyone cant be wrong . They cant get 4 members to go anywhere with out it being a major problem!I think we need to stop blaming it on the inactive members an say...hmmmm ok we are running the club now what can we do to make it better or better yet ....what have we done to make it better ? They havent gone 3years wihtout this same issue he brought up as well about the kiddie bickering over a female ! For what ? We are professionals adults parents......not college students trying to get as many in the sack as we can ! Female riders should be able to ride an look an feel sexy wihtout being harrassed an by all means there should be a no tolerance for stupid bickering over who spoke to some random chick a guy had on his bike for the day ! If you have insecurity issues dont bring even a bad looking chick ,because there will always be that next man with a BIGGER bike ,,BIGGER ego ,,,an way BETTER game than yours !
So lets be bikers an not likers an just have fun ! Peace an Blessings
