Myrtle Beach City Council says the people have spoken and now it's time to end the annual bike rallies.
Tuesday afternoon council approved two motions steps they say to help end the events.
The first is to raise about one million dollars through a slight tax increase.
The money will be used to explore ways to end the events.
The second motion cancels anything bike-related scheduled at the convention center for next year.
