Sunday night after the foot ball game I went for a ride and ended up at this little spot in Oakland. It’s on the corner of Piedmont. I just ran in to use the bathroom when I noticed this patter of Oysters. These oysters looked really good and smelled even better. The bartender and the cook were real cool and funny; they laughed and said “it’s your first time here isn’t it”, because I couldn’t figure out how many to order. The cook hurried and brought me a plate. I can’t explain how good this tasted, but time slowed down. I noticed I was among friends, every body had been eating these and were now fat dumb and happy. Then I noticed that these were my kind of folks, old school but my age; chilling without the bullshit. I had to have 3 more platters. The sauce on these oyster were additive. Now I am not trying to make you an oyster lover but if you like them you will love these steamed oysters with a secret sauce. Now, oysters are only served on Sunday’s, this is a private affair and ran separate from the regular Monday thru Saturday routine.
So if you want to do something different here it is. Until the weather gets better here’s a little local sum’em sum’em.
