After you said good-bye
I continued to live
After a good cry and hearty sigh....
I began again.
I pushed you to the back of my mind,
straightened my shoulders,
and walked through that door.
I promised myself I'll have thoughts of you

But recently you've begun to creep back in.
Little things began to make me reflect on you again.

I'm like a cat with a ball, a dog with a bone.
My body is once again achin'.
Not a burnin' lust or released sighs.
Just for you to hold me, comfort me,
and to dry my eyes.
I just realized why this is happening to me,
this is the month of our anniversary.
The anniversary of when you became an imminent
part of my life.
When I started my unrealized dreams of becoming
your wife.
Although none of this has come to pass.
We have a friendship
that will forever last.
And though some times we must part,
it won't last for long.

have a special place in my heart.
